Jakarta, TVRI World - Indonesia has launched the IKN Metaverse “Jagat Nusantara”, a social media platform that presents the new capital city or IKN Nusantara in the form of a metaverse. It marked IKN – Indonesia’s New Capital City, the first city in the world to have a virtual form.

“The IKN metaverse is an opportunity for people to share knowledge and meet great people all over the country or even the world”, President Jokowi said in his remarks during the launching event in Jakarta on Friday, (28/10.

The social media platform presents the new capital city or IKN Nusantara in the form of a metaverse. Through the IKN metaverse, Jokowi said that artists across the country could hold concerts and exhibit their creations virtually to the public. Moreover, people can also exercise in the digital world.

Chairman of Jagat Nusantara, Wishnutama Kusubandio, explained that the presence of the city in the metaverse is the President's desire that technology could bring real city activities in the future.

Wisnu added that the IKN metaverse was expected to simultaneously encourage the digital and real economy in the new capital city because users could own virtual lands at IKN Nusantara.
